The information overflow is a disease. You don’t know where to start reading, so we end up scrolling on social media. With intention of making everyone read some good articles/ books/ videos/ movies, I’m starting to curate whatever I consume over the internet for you! I hope you find something interesting and worthwhile to read and watch.
Articles that will make you think!
“I didn’t understand that you can never get enough of something you don’t really need.”
This line made me stop reading and question everything I currently want but do not need! Read the full article here.
Every paragraph is a masterstroke. Some random thought dumps by the writer.

This person coined the term - Misery Tax! It’s basically the tax you pay to keep yourself happy while engaging in something you inherently don’t find joy. Nowadays, I think how to avoid paying this misery tax alottt. Read the full article here.
How solo travelling is boring but worthwhile. A beautiful read by Rega Jha.
Comedy is really two things: it’s revealing the absurd inside the logical, and revealing the logical inside the absurd. A rather long & interesting read on power, intimacy and stand up comedy.
“Gigs are nothing but the dance floors of this safe space, hosting a never-ending exhibition of our strange, shared obsessions.” If you’re someone who loves attending gigs, this read is for you!
If Pasoori was on-repeat for you too during the last month, read about how this song was developed & Ali Sethi’s personal story behind making this masterpiece.
Lastly, a short story which will leave a lasting impact on your mind. THIS IS A MUST READ.
Books
I completed two books last month, I will share few excerpts I truly enjoyed from the book. However, both the books felt like a one-time read and not something I will keep on my shelf. If someone wants them, I will sell it to you very cheaply :p
Illusions Of Palace
I felt that anyone embarking on reading this book should be well-versed with Mahabharata. I had a basic idea and that’s why I feel the book didn’t leave a lasting impression on me.
Few lines which moved me,
Isn’t that what truth is? The force of a person’s believing seeps into those around him — into that very earth and air and water — until there’s nothing else.
Can our actions change our destiny? Or are they like sand piled against the breakage in a dam, merely delaying the inevitable?
This is the nature of sorrow: often it fades with time, but once in a while it remains lodged below the surface of things, a stubborn thorn beneath a fingernail, making itself felt every time you brush against it.
Beautiful World, Where Are You?
Started reading this book when I was DYU Art Cafe, Bangalore and finished more than half of it in a day. If you’re looking for a quick read, there you go. Again, one-time read for me. Open to giving it to anyone. But a few lines which struck with me,
We can’t converse anything, and especially not social relations, without altering their nature, arresting some part of their interaction with time in an unnatural way.
Remembering is weaker than experiencing
But what would it be like to form a relationship with no preordained shape of any kind?
It’s better to be deeply loved than widely liked
maybe to weep and prostrate ourselves with genuine sincerity is the hardest thing we could ever learn how to do. I feel certain I don’t understand how to do it.
But when we tore down what confined us, what did we have in mind to replace it?
Movie suggestions (I watch very less cinema, but if do, you’re surely love it because I take very well researched suggestions.) DM/email for torrent links :p
